Dance Art Group fosters and promotes the study, practice and appreciation of improvisational dance in Seattle.
We produce the world-renowned annual Seattle Festival of Dance Improvisation (SFDI), featuring classes, jams, performances and discussions with local, national and international dance artists, as well as other events throughout the year supporting innovative dance research, education and performance.
Past dance artists include: Jess Curtis, Keith Hennessy, K.J. Holmes, Martin Keogh, Benoit Lachambre, Bebe Miller, Karen Nelson, Lisa Nelson, Steve Paxton, Kirstie Simson, Nancy Stark Smith, Scott Wells and many others.
